Legendary Serengeti Camp is a mobile tented camp that moves its location throughout the year depending on where the great annual migration is expected to be. In November of each year the camp is relocated to the short grass plains of the southern Serengeti ecosystem where it remains until early May.
The site where the camp is pitched changes slightly each year but is chosen according to where the herds are congregating and will be within Maswa Game Reserve near to the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park. Since Maswa is a private area, guests of Legendary Serengeti Camp are afforded the opportunity to witness the wildebeest migration in an exclusive wilderness area away from the crowded tourist spots yet will still have access on game drives to both Ndutu and Kusini.
The wildebeest gather in the south and coincide their calving season with the long rains each year. Their location and timing for the birthing is completely weather dependant and cannot be predicted exactly but a good time of year to game view amongst the newborns is in the months of February and March.
