Overview

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera. The Ngorongoro area used to be part of the Serengeti National Park ecosystem when it was created by the British in 1951. The Ngorongoro safari is situated near Arusha and is one of the few areas in east Africa where you will get a chance of seeing the endangered Black Rhino in a natural habitat. The beauty of the ngorongoro is that owing to its creation it is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa.
